Bowies & Camp
Knives
|
Working primitive camp knives and Bowies have carbon
steel blades and start around $350. Upgrades are limited to
simple file work and guards. I've made some of these with
pewter fittings. Damascus steel blades can add a lot to the
look of the knife, but do cost more. I enjoy making these
frontier knives for the Black Powder crowd. I try to attend
one or two RDVs a year.
Damascus Bowies and camp knives start at $1,200 and
increase in price depending on blade complexity and choice
of handle material. These blades can range from fairly
simple to extremely complex.

Skinners
Traditional Japanese
Blades
I have a long background in the martial arts - particularly
Japanese systems. I enjoy making traditional Japanese swords and
edged weapons, however they require tremendous effort and time. The
last sword I made took two years to deliver and cost a little over
$10,000, so your patience is required. I am always honored to build
one of these special traditionally forged blades.
Letter Openers &
Such
|
I frequently hand-forge and machine-forge letter
openers and other gift items. They range from $100 in carbon
steel to about $250 in Damascus. They make a perfect
one-of-a-kind gift for the person who loves knives or
already has everything. Feel free to contact me with
specific ideas.

Axes, Spears, &
Weapons of Mass Destruction
|
I make axes in tomahawk and European styles. Prices
start at $600 and move up from there depending on the
complexity of Damascus and ornamentation.
Weapons of mass destruction are priced on request.
Incorporating nuclear devices into weapons adds a fair
amount to cost. If you have an idea call me. If I can't make
it in your price range, I probably know someone who
can.
