This sword is a copy of a very old Moro blade. The wave in the blade represents Naga, the snake. The upper part of the handle is Javanese and is quite old. I carved a ferule in the same style, matching the blade to the handle. The blade is forged from 15n20 and 1075 in twisted W pattern mosaic Damascus. After welding the mosaic block, it was forged to shape using hand hammers. The twenty three inch blade is finished using tradition methods. This one-of-a-kind piece sold for $4100.
