Virus

This knife was built at the specific request of a friend who has some of the finest mosaic work and heat coloring I have made to date. The blade is a virus pattern mosaic. The cellular structure is a hand-welded mosaic segment depicting a virus. The handle mosaic depicts the blood cells fighting off the viral attack. The blood cell mosaic pattern was made inside a six-inch piece of pipe. There are seventeen of these blood cell mosaics on each side of the handle. The blade exhibits four different mosaic patterns. The virus cells are made from a gear-shaped rod and wrapped with two types of nickel wire and rod. The special coloring was created by manipulating the alloys and the heat range.

This is one-of-a-kind and is the first in a series of virus knives.
